A Duck-Hunt styled game inspired by Steve-Jobs-ninja stories has made it inside the Apple App Store, much to our surprise. Developed by Xicidis, LLC, Ninja Steve costs one buck and is immediately available for download onto iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

“Ninja Steve: There's fast. Then there's ninja fast,” the game’s description goes.

“Steve, CEO of the hit electronics company Xicidis, LLC is announcing an exciting new video game, Super Steve Brothers, which chronicles the adventures of him and his best friend, who is also named Steve. When all of a sudden Smartbots enter, stage right,” the description continues.

“Ninja Steve can't take them all out on his own. You have to help him target and obliterate the horde of advancing droids.”

Xicidis, LLC explains that Ninja Steve requires fast reflexes and pinpoint accuracy.

The Smartbots must not escape Ninja Steve's shuriken, otherwise he will be no more.

Although the makers of the game avoided to identify Steve as the actual CEO of Apple Inc. (to ensure he doesn’t get rejected), the game evidently references Steve Jobs’ trip to Japan which had reportedly ended up with Jobs getting stopped at the airport for carrying “shuriken,” a.k.a ninja stars.

Xicidis, LLC promises to keep updating Ninja Steve. Two more stages are already confirmed by the developer, alongside two more opponents, and an additional character (currently in the works).

Ninja Steve already got an update since its initial release. Version 1.01 brings the following bug fixes:

What's New In Version 1.01

- Fixed possible game breaking action in the Tutorial.
- Fixed possible game freeze while RDF active.
- Fixed RDF while paused.

Ninja Steve requires iOS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. No word on any supported resolutions (iPad / iPhone 4 / iPod touch 5 hi-res displays).
