Ubisoft sign deal to bring fun to Europeans

The Ninja Gaiden series is one of the most successful released by Tecmo (formerly known as Atlus U.S.A.) and the joy that surrounded the launch of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS proved that we're really talking about a great title. However, it had one big flaw: it was released only in Japan and the US, even though everybody wanted to give it a try. Now, in the role of the savior, Ubisoft signed a deal with Tecmo and will publish the game in the EMEA territories, with a European release date being set for June 2008.

This means that everybody will now get the chance to become a Ninja Master - Ryu Hayabusa, to be more specific - and experience a Nintendo DS adventure like never before. Unlike the previous Tecmo titles, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword takes full advantage of stylus, Ryu's combat moves being mapped onto the DS touchscreen, while directional buttons will allow him to run, jump, attack and cast Ninpo (Ninja Magic). Also, Ryu's quite fatal signature moves, like the Izuna Drop or Cicada Slash, can be enabled by finding the right combinations, which means more fun.

Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is developed by Executive Producer Tomonobu Itagaki and the Team NINJA development studio and, following their deal with Ubisoft, the game will be released in the EMEA territories sometime during June.

This means that Europeans only have a little bit of waiting to do until they can get their hands on this Nintendo DS exclusive (the first in the series, actually) and enjoy the new story, the beautifully rendered environments and frenetic ninja action we all got used to. Also, numerous enemies and devastating combo moves add to the overall entertainment of the game, which should keep you busy for quite a while.
