Developer Team Ninja, now lacking main creative mind Tomonobu Itagaki, has announced that it is working on three new projects that will launch in the next few years: Dead or Alive Dimensions, a fighting game anthology, Ninja Gaiden 3, a new game in its most important franchise, and Ni-Oh.

The new Ninja Gaiden 3 was only promoted through an image of Ryu Hayabusa, the main character in the series, shown wholly covered in blood, trying to get his facemask off while also throwing a killer stare at the player.

It's not clear what the image means for the actual game but the signature gameplay of the series will likely be kept, with a few tweaks here and there.

It's unknown on what platforms Ninja Gaiden 3 will be launched or exactly when the game is set to be launched.

Team Ninja also talked about Dead or Alive Dimensions, which is created exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS handheld, which will deliver full three dimensional gaming without the use of glasses.

The new fighting game will allow players to experience all the content included in the first four video game in the series and the graphics seem to be on par with what gamers could experience on a GameCube, but with the added 3D effects.

The 3DS should arrive in Japan late this year (an official date might be announced on September 29) and in early 2011 in Europe and North America, with Dead or Alive Dimensions following soon after.

The third game Team Ninja talked about was Ni-Oh, a title that was originally announced way back in 2005.

Team Ninja will be working with Koei on the samurai action title with Kou Shibusawa leading the development team.

The company has not said whether the game will remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive or will launched on more platforms.
