After a few rumors and leaks, Tecmo Koei and developer Team Ninja have confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, the recently released Wii U title, will come out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the beginning of April, with many different improvements and enhancements over the standard Ninja Gaiden 3.

Ninja Gaiden 3 was eagerly awaited by many fans of the series as lots of them wanted to try out the new hack and slash experience from Team Ninja.

Sadly, the end result wasn't that impressive, as many complained of the convoluted story, not to mention the simplified and easy combat.

Now, after releasing a special version of the game called Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge onto the Wii U, Team Ninja has confirmed that it's going to also launch it onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the beginning of April.

Razor's Edge features a wide array of enhancements, like a more complex combat system and tougher foes, not to mention plenty of all-new content, and bonus characters, including fan favorites like Ayane, Kasumi, or Momiji.

Check out the game's description below, via AGB.

"Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge was designed from the ground up to satisfy core action fans with a redesigned battle system, improved enemy AI, the greatly reduced interactive QTE scenes, and the return of dismemberment. Even with severed arms or legs, enemies will fight on and players will find they have to change attacks on the fly to win brutally tough battles—the challenge level leaves little room for error."

"The Ninja Skills systems lets players use Karma earned in combat to freely purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats, and costumes. Adding to the variety of gameplay, Kasumi, Ayane, and Momiji all join Hayabusa as playable characters. Ayane will get her own chapters in Story Mode while all three female characters can be played in the new Chapter Challenge mode and Ninja Trials co-op play with multiple costume options."

The online multiplayer in Ninja Gaiden 3 has also been drastically improved in Razor's Edge, as Team Ninja included not just all the previously released DLC, but also plenty of other customizations plus Clan Battle stages and even more Ninja Trials missions.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge hits the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 2, in North America, and April 5, in Europe and the rest of the world.
