A new flavor of Nimbuzz for Android is now available for download, with a nice range of optimizations into the mix, including support for the larger screens of tablet PCs.

The new application flavor is already available for download for all owners of Android-based tablet PCs, as well as for those who own smartphones powered by the platform.

The main features that the new application release comes to devices with include:

- Optimized graphics for tablets - New UI layout to maximize space usage on large screens - Deep integration with the Android native phonebook.

At the same time, the new Nimbuzz for Android version 2.0.9 comes with great looks, especially on the big screens of tablets.

The development team notes that there have been a wide range of enhancements included into the new application version, so as to take advantage of all of the space that users benefit from on these screens.

“The brand new 2.0.9 version looks stunning on the big screen. We have optimized the use of all the available space so you can have a better overview of your ongoing chats as well as of your active chat screen,” the company explains.

“This way you can easily switch between your conversations. The new contact list screen also looks amazing and offers you a super easy way to see who is online while also managing your online presence.”

Those who already had the Nimbuzz application available on their Android devices should know that it also comes with a new feature into the mix now, namely Synchronize with device.

When activated, the option will bring all of the Nimbuzz friends in the contact list of the mobile phone, which will offer the possibility to start a chat or a call with a friend right from the native phone’s contact list.

With the new update, the option also offers the possibility to start a chat or a call with all IM contacts, including those on Facebook or Yahoo, all directly from the native Android Phonebook.

Nimbuzz for Android is available for download from the Android Market here, with support for all devices based on Android 1.6 and up.
