14 DAY TRIAL // The latest flavor of Nimbuzz for Android, namely version 2.0.2, brings in some pretty interesting features, including the possibility to make HD voice quality calls straight from the Android-based handset.
According to the company, the new solution would offer users the possibility to enjoy HD calls when connecting to Nimbuzz contacts that have the same version of the application installed on their Android devices.
“This is possible thanks to our new peer to peer calling system, which doesn’t route the call through our servers, but makes a direct connection between the two mobile devices,” the company notes.
“Your calls will be connected faster, the calling quality will be crystal clear, and the probability of dropped calls enormously reduced.”
However, in addition to bringing HD voice call quality on Nimbuzz to Nimbuzz calls, the new application version also offers users the possibility to install Nimbuzz on SD cards so that they can save space on the phone memory.
Additionally, the application also comes with an updated My Profile page, and with a New Contact List layout, as well as with free avatars.
Other enhancements are also there, the company notes. The application can now detect the type of connection one has (3G or WiFi) so as to enable HD voice calls. An HD indicator is being displayed on the call screen in real time.
Here's what the company notes on the other new features of the solution:
- Another highly requested feature was to install Nimbuzz on the SD card and now it’s available. This will save you precious space on the phone memory.
- The My Profile page was also updated and you can control everything from one place: status, communities, NimbuzzOut Credit and profile information.
- The new version has a updated contact list layout, which has the status icons (available, away, busy) on the right, and display pictures on the left side with community icons in the bottom right corner.
