With the recent launch of Windows 8.1 and Mac OS X 10.9, a series of applications have encountered a few compatibility problems. Nikon addressed these small issues by updating the ViewNX software to version 2.8.3.
With this new build, Nikon adds native support for Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Pro, and Windows 8.1 Enterprise, as well as for the latest 1.9 version of Macintosh OS X.
In addition to that, starting with this update ViewNX won't support Mac OS X version 10.6 anymore. If you have a PC with the latest Windows 8.1 or Macintosh OS X 10.9, you should download ViewNX 2.8.3 to make sure you don't encounter any issues during the use of the application.
