Today, Nikon outed a new firmware package developed for its D7100 Digital SLR camera, namely version C:1.01, which includes a handful of fixes that improve the performance of the camera’s functions.

Specifically speaking, the newly released package fixes the issue with the flash output level that was shown on the display when viewing photos, and with the images that didn’t change while Live View was active when on certain camera settings.

In addition to that, the ViewFinder Virtual Horizon doesn’t freeze anymore, the problem that prevented the cursor from moving in calendar playback mode is fixed, and the size of some displayed text in the same calendar mode has been modified.

Furthermore, the 35mm focal lengths display format recorded in Exif data mode has been corrected, and 1920x1080/24p recording in M exposure mode now works without any problems.

The release provides two download records, namely one file that is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 OSes, and another one suitable for the MAC OS platform.

As for installing the firmware, run the downloadable file to create a “D7100_0101.bin” file, copy it onto the root folder of a formatted memory card, and insert in into a fully charged camera. Power on the device, go to Firmware Version menu, and follow the onscreen instructions.

That being said, click on one of the links below depending on your computer’s operating system, and download the file needed to update your DSLR camera.
