Photokina 2014 is approaching us at a face pace and all the major photo gear manufacturers are going to be present at the event with tons of goodie packs.

And people are looking at Nikon and expecting the new heavily rumored D750 DSLR, but that’s not all we’re going to see arrive under the company’s banner.

Trusted sources familiar with the matter (via Nikon Rumors) claim that the device maker will be rolling out a replacement for its SB-400 AF Speedlight Flash, in the form of the SB-500 (most likely name, but unconfirmed).

Since the model mentioned above has been discontinued from several stores, it makes a lot of sense that a successor will be pushed out.

According to the rumor mill, Nikon won’t be bringing a handful of devices to Photokina. So far, we know about the D750 DSLR and the Coolpix A replacement. Now it appears a third product will be announced too, in the form of the speedlight flash mentioned above.

It might not seem much to some people, but a lot of us are quite curious about the new DSLR, which will reportedly arrive with a 24.3-megapixel sensor, EXPEED processor, Wi-Fi and a tilting display. The camera will sit somewhere between the D610 and D810.
