Nikon has a strict pricing policy that once in a while gets revised by the company in order to prevent non-authorized resellers from selling their cameras under the price of the market.

According to NikonRumors, the company will remove several digital cameras from their MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) list, giving retailers the opportunity to sell them at discounted prices.

The models to be removed from Nikon's MAP list are: Nikon 1 J3, D3100, Coolpix L28, S31, S3500, S5200, S6500, S9500, L820, AW110, P330 and P520.

This means the company will either replace or discontinue the aforementioned cameras in the near future. Previous rumors already state that Nikon is preparing to announce a new entry-level digital SLR, the D3300 as well as the successor of their D4 flagship camera, the D4s.

Recently, Nikon has also discontinued the entry-level SB-400 Speedlight making room for the newly released SB-300 compact model designed to work with the upcoming Nikon 1 V3 mirrorless camera.
