Everyone was expecting to see an official announcement for the new Nikon D4s flagship DSLR at last week's CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show in Yokohama, Japan, but it seems that the Nippon manufacturer chose to postpone its launch.

According to NikonRumors, the company will finally reveal the new Nikon D4s on February 25, while in a few countries the event will take place on February 27. As announced by Nikon, the D4s will also be on display next month at The Photography Show in Birmingham, UK, as well as at the WPPI Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

The camera has already been featured in a few magazines and also spotted at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Earlier this month, BHphoto and Adorama, the two US retailers that listed the Nikon D4s, removed the listings at Nikon's request until the camera is officially unveiled.

According to the Adorama listing, the D4s will feature a 24MP CMOS sensor, 51-point AF system, and 11fps in burst shooting mode.
