14 DAY TRIAL // Nippon optics, camera, and photographic equipment manufacturer Nikon has announced today two new waterproof cameras as part of its Coolpix series, namely AW120 and S32.
The new Nikon Coolpix AW120 is the successor of AW110 and comes equipped with the same 16MP CMOS sensor that features an extended ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 6,400 in comparison with its older sibling, which had a maximum low-light sensitivity of ISO 3,200.
The AW120 is a sturdy point-and-shoot compact camera that comes with a waterproof body up to 18m / 59ft, shockproof up to 2m / 6.6ft, and freezeproof at temperatures down to -10°C / 14°F, just like its predecessor.
Moreover, the new model feaures a 24-120mm f/2.8 lens, image stabilization, and built-in Wi-Fi and GPS technology. With Nikon AW120 you can also capture 1080/60i Full HD video footage and stills up to 6.9 frames per second in burst shooting mode.
Nikon S32 is a more family-oriented compact camera that packs a 13.2MP CMOS sensor, 30-90mm f/3.3-5.9 lens, and is capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage at 30 frames per second.
The S32 also comes with a waterproof (up to 10m / 33ft) and shockproof (up to 1.5m / 5ft) body and a higher 4.7fps continuous shooting speed compared with S31's 1.5fps capabilities.
Nikon S32 also includes a 230k-dot 2.7-inch TFT LCD display monitor, electronic vibration reduction, contrast-detection AF, and up to ISO 1,600 low-light sensitivity.

Both cameras will be available starting March, at a price of $349.95 / €260 for the Coolpix AW120 and $129.95 / €96 for the Coolpix S32 model.
