Until now, Victoria Beckham got all the credit from me for being such a smart dresser. Sure, I have often heard that she is way too skinny (true, true), but it never seemed to me that her weight was such a big issue as it is with, let's say, Nicole Richie.
The media has fixed a target on the two ladies here in question, claiming that, by starving themselves to look 'fit', they encourage young girls to do the same, while affecting their own bodies in the most negative way possible.
It's not my place to say which one is right and which is not, so I'm not going to get into this one. Not for the moment, at least. The point is that Nicole finally wised up and sought some professional help for her problem, entering a facility and supposedly gaining 5 pounds (which is a lot, compared to her tiny, tiny frame).
Vicky, on the other hand, did nothing of the kind. She is Posh, after all, and she can do as she damn well pleases, meaning, she will shop, eat boiled vegetables and sushi (and nothing else) and strut around town with her boobs all over the place as long as she wants to!
But here's something for your consideration: in the second photo, we see Miss Richie on a shopping spree on November 30, looking skinnier than ever, and Victoria on a different shopping spree on December 3rd. Which one would better go for a poster of the 'Feed Me' campaign?
I assure you, this is no laughing matter and I'm not taking it as such: these two look as if they are to be carried away by the tiniest, most imperceptible breeze of wind! I bet that, if you turn them on one side, you can almost not see them at all or see a mere line, if you're lucky (you know, like in the cartoons). And that, without even taking into consideration what they say about how the camera adds five pounds!
Maybe all this shopping madness should stop for just one second (I'm talking about Victoria and Nicole, of course), and they should ask themselves: what if, one day, I just vanish away? This is not cool (not to mention sexy) and too bad they think otherwise...
