The adopted daughter of soul legend Lionel Richie is set on treading on Miss Hilton's footsteps and just announced that she too will be a singer pretty soon. And we can say, hands on our hearts, that a little competition never hurt anybody.
The skinny Nicole, currently a star on 'The Simple Life' reality show together with her ex best friend, told the 'Daily Record' Newspaper that her first album is already at an advanced stage, but refused to set an approximate date of release for it.
'Right now I'm just writing and recording. The way that a record goes, you sing up to 20 or 30 songs and then pick your favorite 10. I'm about six songs in', the 24-year-old said. The socialite also refused to say if any of the tracks include a collaboration with her father and insisted on the fact that most of them were inspired by personal experiences.
'The songs are about what's going on in my life, growing up and becoming a woman. They are about realizing what's great and what's wonderful about life and being on this earth and living the way that I live'.
Meanwhile, rumors that anorexia may be killing Nicole by the day are intensifying, but the star keeps on denying them and... getting thinner by the day. Maybe we'll hear about that too on her album, who knows?
