Nicole Kidman to Adopt Vietnamese Boy

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban have a gorgeous baby girl, Sunday Rose, who turns one next month. Already the picture perfect happy family, Keith and the Australian actress are also considering adopting a baby boy from Vietnam, thus expanding their family and offer a less fortunate child the chance for a better life, as Aussie tab New Idea claims.

At the same time though, reports are swirling that Nicole herself might be pregnant, after she was snapped a couple of times on the set of her new movie with what looked like a prominent baby bump. Still, New Idea says, that she’ll be adopting a Vietnamese baby boy is almost a given since it even got someone to confirm the news – Dang Minh Dao, deputy of the Department of International Adoption at the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi, reportedly confirmed the actress’ interest for the tabloid.

“Yes, Nicole Kidman wants a baby from Vietnam. We’ve been approached by the American Embassy. This is very sensitive information. We are keeping it closed.” Dao was reported to have told New Idea, speaking based on inside knowledge. However, Kidman’s publicist insists the entire story is just a fabrication, a theory to which Dao’s confusing statement could also contribute. After all, several publications are saying, why would Dao confirm the adoption and then say “we are keeping it closed” and refuse to offer more details?

Kidman’s rep says not only would he have had no reason to do so, but he did not even speak to New Idea. “I am aware of this rumor out of Australia’s New Idea tabloid. It is a complete fabrication, there is no truth to it whatsoever.” the actress’ publicist tells the Aussie media. As of now, whether the actress and Urban plan to take any action against the tabloid has not yet been made public – and it’s precisely this silence on her behalf that is encouraging the tabloids to believe that there might be some truth to the New Idea story.

As fans must know, Nicole Kidman is no stranger to adoption, she and former husband Tom Cruise having adopted Connor and Bella when they could not have children on their own. When the two filed for divorce in 2001, they decided the children continue living with Tom – and now with his wife Katie Holmes.
