Shortly after Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, some of the weirdest rumors started to make the rounds, including that Nicole Kidman, Tom’s ex-wife, had also aided her in her “escape.” She did no such thing, Nicole says in a brand new interview with Who magazine.

Always the classiest of ladies, Nicole refuses to speak ill of her ex-husband Tom Cruise, their marriage and the reasons it was over, and his life afterwards.

She is adamant though that she never spoke to Katie Holmes, which means that she couldn’t have possibly helped her “escape.”

“I never spoke to her. I wish all of them well, but I was not involved in any of that,” she says for Who, as cited by People magazine.

As for her own marriage to Tom, which also generated plenty of insane rumors (including on how she was never allowed to spend time with the two children they adopted together), Nicole admits it wasn’t fairytale perfect.

That doesn’t make her regret it though.

“I got married really fast and really young,” she says. “But I don’t regret that because it got me [children] Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period.”

“[It was] all a part of growing up. There were times following [the divorce] when I thought, ‘Wow, this is the loneliest, loneliest existence.’ But with Tom, it was a fantastic decade,” Nicole says.

“I wish all of the people that have been involved in my life well, because it’s very important to me to be in a place of forgiveness and love,” she adds.

Katie filed for divorce earlier this year, reportedly blindsiding Tom with the petition because he had no idea they were having problems within the marriage.

Because of his involvement with the Church of Scientology and how quickly the divorce was settled, some of the most ridiculous reports have made it into the tabloids – and still do to this day.
