"Dogville" star Nicole Kidman will play the main part in "Invasion", the big budget US remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". The movie scripted by Dave Kajhanich will be directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, according to Production Weekly.
Kidman will portray Carol, a woman uncovering a conspiracy in a small town where the inhabitants' personalities seem to be changing.
Shooting is set to take place in Baltimore, starting October.
The actress, who has recently declared she wanted a vacation, so she could have more time with her kids, will also have the leading role in Wong-Kar Wai's "A Lady from Shanghai", for which the shooting are set to take place in Russia sometime soon.
