Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who make up one of the most beautiful couples in showbiz right now, sat down with Oprah for a full interview about their marriage, his cocaine and alcohol addiction, and how they managed to make it all work.

As fans may remember, shortly after getting married, the two were faced with the realization that Keith Urban had to go to rehab for his drugs and alcohol problems.

They were separated while the singer sought treatment, while the media speculated about how that could potentially ruin their marriage.

Not only did it not do that, but it actually made them stronger, Keith tells Oprah, as FadedBlog reports. It made them into a family, he says, happy that she didn’t leave him right then and there.

“The 43-year-old country crooner revealed that his October 2006 stint in rehab was the third in eight years, and came just four months after he married Nicole Kidman,” FadedBlog says.

In the interview, Urban says he really “went off the rails,” realizing he “cannot do this anymore.” He needed help. Luckily, he had Nicole by his side to help him out.

“She really should’ve just walked. I’m just glad she didn’t. She made a decision to initiate, ultimately, this intervention and the love that was in that room at that moment was just right,” Keith says, thinking back of that day when he was made to understand he needed to get his life back in order.

“To see love in action to that degree… I’d never experienced anything like that. I was like, ‘Put the cuffs on. Let’s go!’” the country star adds.

Of course, Nicole knew when she married him that she had to stand by him through thick and thin. After all, marriage is not always a ride in the park, obstacles do appear on the way – the secret is to overcome them together.

She told Oprah, “Marriage is about every day trying to make it better and working through things. We met at a time in our lives when we were both ready for it.”
