20th Century Fox has recently optioned "The Bachelorette Party," the new novel from "Legally Blonde" writer Karen McCullah Lutz as a potential starring vehicle for Nicole Kidman, according to Variety.
Lutz , who also wrote the 1999 Toouchstone movie Ten Things I Hate About You, will adapt the novel for the big screen.
Nicole Kidman is also set to produce the movie she will star in, which tells the story of a
bachelorette party with some twisted "side-effects".
Despite being recently jilted at the altar, a high school teacher must attend the sendoff of her uptight cousin - who happens to be marrying the teacher's best guy friend. When the cousin betrays her fiancee's trust with a drunken indiscretion, the teacher must decide if her loyalties lie with her cousin or her pal.
Nicole Kidman will next be seen in Steven Shainberg's "Fur" playing famous photographer Diane Arbus, and she will also be filmig for Wong Kar Wai's first movie in English.
