The Australian actress' sense of style wins her a coveted spot in the US fashion world

Nicole Kidman's previous forays into the fashion world have been received with mixed feelings of admiration and slight skepticism: on the one hand, the beautiful and talented Australian actress has always been hailed as an example of flawless class and style, particularly when it comes to her red carpet fashion choices. On the other hand, at times critics have panned her for her sometimes "frozen" attitude of unrealistic perfection.

However, over the past months, the public perception on Nicole has changed a lot in the wake of her advancing pregnancy and the actress herself has put a lot of effort into connecting more with her fans, without sacrificing her love for high fashion. As a result, sources say that we'll soon be able to see Nicole grace the cover of the US Vogue magazine - perhaps even the coming July issue.

News of Kidman's photo shoot with renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz has been swirling around since February, although it was believed that since Kidman's next movie only comes out in November, the shots would be used around the same interval. However, things may have taken a different turn due to Nicole's rapidly-advancing pregnancy. Trust Nicole to celebrate the birth of her baby in style - and a spot on the coveted Vogue cover will do precisely that.

The Australian star is also said to be taking a more hands-on approach to the world of fashion by putting in a guest star appearance in an upcoming episode of the very successful "Project Runway". A maternity challenge would be an interesting test for any up-and-coming designers participating in the show - as for Kidman's part, her classy red carpet style would definitely not be easy to accommodate by any designer.
