14 DAY TRIAL // Nicole Kidman is usually very discreet about her personal life but, every once in a while, she does open up about the kind of happiness she’s come to know by her husband’s, Keith Urban, side. Her interview with DuJour mag is one such instance.
Besides gushing about her 2 adorable daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, Nicole also talks with the mag about her painful split from Tom Cruise (quotes via Us Magazine).
Fans know that this is one of those topics she hardly ever talks about, which is what makes the interview all the more special.
Of course, Nicole doesn’t badmouth Tom (nor would she ever) but the few things she does say are enough to reveal the heartbreak that came with the split.
“I was totally smitten – I fell madly, passionately in love… I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him,” she says of their romance.
Being married to Cruise was, in itself, an almost unreal experience.
“I was so impulsive and naïve… We were in a bubble… just the two of us. We became very dependent on one another,” she says.
Understandably, when the relationship came to an end, she no longer knew what to do with herself.
Nicole tells the mag she “wanted to fall in love again” but did not know if she could anymore, not after such a passionate and incredible love story with Tom.
Fans know that she did – and she clearly knows it too as well. Keith Urban, her husband and father of her 2 children, means the world to her now.
“I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life. And it’s my life. Before, I was running away from life. Now I embrace it. You never know how long you have. So I cherish every minute,” she says.
