Nicole Kidman was going back to her hotel in New York City after the Calvin Klein show at NYC Fashion Week when a paparazzo on a bike ran into her, knocking her to the ground.

A photo of the actress literally in the act of falling is also attached to this article.

The photographer isn’t seen in this picture, but TMZ reports that his name is Carl Wu and he has quite a reputation for crossing paths with (and stepping on the toes of) many celebrities.

In fact, fans of the celebrities he got too close for comfort with have even started several pages against him.

All in all, Wu is tenacious, for lack of a better term, especially when it comes to being the first to snap a celebrity pic. This was also the case with Kidman.

“Witnesses tell TMZ, as Wu got dangerously close to Nicole, he appeared to hit his brakes, but it didn't do the trick. He slammed into her and she went crashing to the ground. Nicole was furious and said she wanted to press charges against Wu. Nicole called the cops,” TMZ writes.

However, when the police arrived, they decided they could not arrest Wu for anything because “an accident is an accident.” Instead, they gave him a ticket for riding his bike on the sidewalk.

An ambulance was also called on the scene, but Nicole had “no visible injuries.”

She is determined to press charges against the paparazzo.

Embedded at the end of this article is a video of paparazzi chasing down Wu in the hope of getting a statement on what happened and whether he did it on purpose or not, as some say he might have.

For a guy who earns a living by chasing celebrities and getting into their faces at all times, Wu seems suddenly very camera-shy.
