Actress Nicole Kidman and husband country crooner Keith Urban are new parents again, having just welcomed a baby daughter into their family. She was born by surrogate on December 28, People

magazine reports.

The two stars themselves have confirmed this for the magazine, saying they’re over the moon about adding a new member to their family and giving Sunday Rose a little sister.

“It’s a girl – and a huge surprise! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban revealed Monday that they are the parents of a baby girl,” People writes.

“Faith Margaret Kidman Urban arrived Dec. 28 at The Women’s Hospital at Centennial in Nashville. Faith was born through a gestational carrier and is the biological daughter of Kidman and Urban,” the mag further notes.

Nicole and Keith have confirmed the wonderful news but, for the time being, they’re not saying more about their daughter other than confirming her birth.

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret. No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier,” reads a statement from the couple.

The announcement came as a shock since, just hours before it was made, Nicole and Keith were on the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globes, but neither of them said anything about the bundle of joy they had at home.

However, Nicole will probably be talking more about this in interviews to come, fans can only hope.

Nicole and Keith were married in 2006 in a gorgeous, fairytale-like wedding ceremony. Their first daughter, Sunday Rose, was born in 2008.

As fans must know, every other month, reports emerge in the media that the actress is pregnant – but they never turn out to be true.

Nicole also has two other children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, both of whom are adopted: Isabella and Connor.
