Nicolas Cage Has a New Son

In July 2004, Nicolas Cage married Alice Kim, a former sushi waitress who is about 20 years younger than him. They now have a son, Kal-el, born on Monday in New York.

Kal-el is the birth name given to comic book hero Superman, who Cage was once linked with playing on screen.

Cage and Korean-American Kim started dating in February 2004, became engaged after two months and married the same summer.
Cage's previous two marriages both ended in divorce. The one with Patricia Arquette, after six years and the other one, with singer Lisa Marie Presley, after only four months.

Cage has already another son, Weston, born in 1990 from a relationship with model Kristina Fulton.

Cage has starred in films including The Rock, Face/Off and Adaptation, and won an Oscar for best actor for Leaving Las Vegas in 1996.
His recent films include Matchstick Men and Adaptation, for which he has received his second Oscar nomination.

He will next be seen in the action adventure movie National Treasure.
