Going to show that being tough is also about the attitude and not necessarily about brute force, Nicky Hilton, the frailer of the Hilton sisters, as she’s often referred to, arrested a homeless person after he pushed her to the ground. While it is not yet certain what made the man attack Nicky, it is being said she placed him under citizen’s arrest and held him until police officers arrived.

Nicky was outside a West Hollywood IHOP when a homeless person came behind her and pushed her to the ground, several media outlets are saying. While any other woman would have cried for help, it is being pointed out that Hilton immediately gained her composure, restrained the man and held him in citizen’s arrest until police arrived at the scene of the altercation. Nicky Hilton was not harmed, but she is seeking prosecution, it is being added.

“One of our deputies was at the IHOP, having a coffee break, and noticed a waitress run outside because there was a commotion. [Another deputy was then called] because there was a misdemeanor battery that involved Nicky Hilton and a man named Michael Broadhurst. [He] came up behind Ms. Hilton and pushed her. She’s OK, but she was desirous of prosecution. She said, ‘I am placing you under citizen’s arrest!’” Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells Us Magazine.

The attacker was taken into custody, with a first hearing being scheduled to take place on April 21. As noted above, Nicky Hilton was not harmed, even if the attacker is now facing a battery charge. As Whitmore points out, “It is my understanding that she is OK. A battery is just an unwanted touching.”

TMZ, the gossip website / paparazzi agency that first broke the story, also reports that, when police officers responded to the call, the “delusional” man claimed he was Nicky Hilton’s boyfriend, despite the fact that it was she who was holding him under arrest. Nicky or her publicist are yet to make any comment on the story.
