14 DAY TRIAL // Precisely one week ago, Nicki Minaj broke the news to fans that the release of her brand new music video, for the single “Anaconda,” would be delayed for another week for reasons that they would understand only when the full video came out.
That’s today, but while we’re waiting for the clip to be released, Nicki is treating us to a teaser for it, amounting to 15 seconds of footage that will be included at the beginning of the video.
She posted it on her Instagram with the caption “Check out the WORLD PREMIERE video snippet of Anaconda. Now on iTunes!!! #AnacondaOniTunes Official Mastered VERSION,” and you can see it in full below.
However, *please note that discretion is recommended when viewing it because it contains images that might offend.
For a single that heavily samples the most famous ode to the female derriere of all times, Sir-Mix-Alot’s classic “Baby Got Back,” you’re to expect “Anaconda” to get a video to match. In other words, prepare yourself for lots of skimpy outfits, shots of Nicki’s more than generous curves and, of course, twerking.
What would today’s videos be if twerking had never gone mainstream? We will never know.
The full “Anaconda” video is expected to be released online today, Monday, August 04, 2014. The track, which is the second single off “The Pink Print” album, is already out on iTunes and climbing all the charts.
