Every female artist in the game wears wigs, there's no comparison, she says

Because there's nothing the media loves more than pitting artists against each other and, apparently, fans claiming one artist has copied another, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga are two names often used in the same sentence.

Speaking with ABC just recently in order to promote her new album, “Roman Reloaded,” Nicki shoots down all allegations that she and Gaga have in common anything but the fact that they're both women and both artists.

“[Do comparisons] irk me? Yes. First of all, I’m a rapper. I’m from Southside, Jamaica, Queens. What are the similarities? Let me turn the cameras and ask you. Every female in this game wears wigs,” Nicki says when asked whether she finds comparisons offensive or at least annoying.

“It’s just getting tiring. In the beginning I was like 'ok, it’s cool. Haha, when they get to know me they’ll understand.' I mean Gaga is a fantastic artist. She’s paved her way. She’s opened her own lane. I feel like I have my own lane. And we never cross… ever,” the rapper adds.

In other words, say what you will, but there's no comparing the two.
