14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian and Paper Magazine set out to #BreakTheInternet with a very racy spread, and came very close to it. However, there was more to that spread than just having Kim show off the goods in front of a camera again, Nicki Minaj explained on Saturday Night Live.
The rapper was the musical guest, while James Franco hosted, but she made several appearances in the skits shown, including one in which she mocked Kim and her now-famous oiled-up magazine photospread.

Nicki does the best Kim K impersonation
Who knew Nicki Minaj could do such a mean Kim K impersonation? Apparently, very few people, because this skit is all the rage right now on social media, with many voices praising her for a job well done.
Granted, she came very close to breaking character because she could hardly keep from laughing, but the fans will probably let it slide.
Just as funny was the skit itself, because it aimed to show that Kim’s revealing magazine spread wasn’t narcissism at its best but a decent effort at making the world a better place, which sadly got out before it was completed.
The background was blank, “Kim” explained – and that was the tell-tale sign that the photos shouldn’t have been released as they were. The background was the context that made all that oily nudity justifiable, she stressed, before showing the “real” photos.
One of them was a PSA urging women to get routine check-ups as often as possible and to schedule an appointment at the closest OB/GYN to that effect. Another was a math lesson, “Kim” explained, struggling to keep a straight face. Yet another was a warning of the dangers associated oil spills into the oceans.
So all of you thinking that Kim was just being her shallow self when she agreed to take it all off for Paper Magazine stand corrected.

Of course, this is just comedy. If you ask the real Kim Kardashian about the magazine spread, she will tell you in all earnestness that it was an “art” project that she really wanted to be involved in because she had long been waiting for the chance to work with photographer Jean-Paul Goude.
She will also tell you that this was her way of celebrating her newly toned figure and newfound confidence, of her embracing her body before she becomes pregnant again. That this was her way of “getting back” at all those who “bullied” her for gaining weight while pregnant with daughter North.
Kim clearly can’t make up her mind on the reasons she had for removing all her clothes and posing in all her oily glory for Paper, but at least she’s got them narrowed down to these two.
