I said it before and I will do so again: I like this sound on Nicki. Even if some of her songs (the more pop-influenced ones) tend to grate because she’s taking her cartoonish persona too far, she’s a gifted rapper and singer, which many tend to overlook because how insanely popular she is.
“Freedom” is the best example of what a versatile artist Nicki is. Her performance on Ellen was equally flawless.
