14 DAY TRIAL // The announcement for the release of “Anaconda,” Nicki Minaj's latest single was fraught with controversy when it first came out last week, Because the singer chose to promote it with a very revealing photo of her ample derrière, many were offended and this, in turn, sparked a violent reaction from the artist.
Today, the singer has made the announcement on Twitter that her “Anaconda” single is going to be delayed by one week, despite the very favorable initial buzz it generated on social media. She used one of her racy photos from her recent photo shoot to soften the blow.
The photo, which showed Nicki in the same pink bikini like she wore on the artwork for her single, is captioned, “My darlingz, I've pushed the release of Anaconda to next week, Monday 8/4. I promise you will understand why before the week is out. Loveeeeeeee uuuuuu (sic).”
“Anaconda” is the second single to be released from Minaj's anticipate album “The Pink Print” and it was supposed to come out last month, but it seems that the promotional effort is being delayed for some mysterious reason that gives Nicki the possibility to show off her enviable curves that cause so much controversy.
The racy cover art she released last week has already become an Internet meme, one more hilarious than the other, and that includes using her shapely bottom to replace the double O in the Google logo.
