Nick Lachey and his 98 Degrees reunited boyband (yes, they’re making a comeback too) stopped by Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and, during the Plead the Fifth segment, Cohen didn’t miss the chance to ask him some pretty juicy questions.

As you may have already figured it out, they involved his marriage to Jessica Simpson – and his relationship to her father and manager Joe Simpson.

Check it out in the video below.

“What is the best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law... I don't have to play grab [butt] under the table on Easter Sunday,” Nick laughed, hinting at those never-ending rumors that Joe’s marriage ended because he’s gay.

As for whether he is still in contact with his ex, the answer there would be no.

“It's been years [since I've talked to Jessica]. Years. Honestly, probably six years. It was like another lifetime ago,” he says.

This too makes sense, considering that Joe pretty much kicked him out of the house and the breakup wasn’t amicable, if you’re to believe reports.
