Former boybander Nick Lachey is coming back to television, having just landed a new hosting gig. After The Sing Off on NBC, Nick is moving to VH1, where he will be hosting the show Big Morning Buzz Live as of next week, Reality TV Magazine reports.

For fans of the star, this must come as amazing news, but he too is thrilled by the prospect, admitting on a recent appearance on The View that, at the moment, this is what best suits him.

“It’s me, it’s my personality as a host. I think the biggest mistake you can make is to try to be somebody you’re not,” he said.

His first week’s guests will include The Fray and “Glee” star Lea Michele, who is launching her debut solo album on March 4 after some delays. Sophia Bush, Michael Vartan, Adrienne Bailon, Jack Rio and Jackie Miranne will be with Nick in the studio.

The new show starts next week, so fans don’t have that many days to wait until they see Nick back on their small screens. He’s been tweeting about it a lot, so I’m guessing he’s just as thrilled about the new project as you probably are right now, if you’re reading this.

Last year, Nick also made his musical comeback, releasing the album “A Father’s Lullaby.” The songs on it were inspired by Camden John Lachey, Nick’s son with wife Vanessa Minnillo, born on September 12, 2012.
