14 DAY TRIAL // Nick Carter has been on very bad terms with his family since his sister Leslie’s 2012 death of a drug overdose, so perhaps it comes to little surprise that he skipped another sister’s wedding over the weekend.
Angel Carter, Aaron’s twin sister, tied the knot with Corey Conrad in Piru, California and, while Aaron was there to walk her down the aisle, her older brother Nick was notably absent because he was partying it up in Las Vegas.
In Nick’s defense, he was in Sin City celebrating his bachelor’s party, Too Fab reports.
“Instead, the Backstreet Boys singer was photographed in Las Vegas, celebrating his joint bachelor/bachelorette party with fiancée Lauren Kitt. The two spent the night dancing and sharing some PDA at Ghostbar nightclub at The Palms,” the celebrity e-zine says.
“It's unclear who planned their event first or if Nick was even invited to the ceremony, but we have a hard time believing it was merely a coincidence the wedding and the bachelor party went down on the same day,” the report further notes.
If this wasn’t a coincidence, chances are Nick is still not on speaking terms with his family. There is also a slight possibility he scheduled his and Lauren’s party on the same day as the wedding to create some drama for an upcoming reality series, which will document his nuptials and all the preparations before it.
While manufacturing drama for a TV show is not as rare an occurrence as some believe, to say that Nick did it too is purely speculation at this point.
Too Fab reached out to his rep for comment but didn’t hear back from him until this went to press. Aaron’s publicist, the famous Steve Honig (he represented Lindsay Lohan during her most troubled times), would not comment on Nick’s absence.
However, he did say, “Aaron was both overjoyed and honored to walk Angel down the aisle on her wedding day and be with his family on such a wonderful and important occasion.”
