The actor had previously inked Mariah’s name on his back, big enough to be seen by a passing airplane overhead, but since the divorce, he's got some work done to cover up his token of love.
TMZ reports that Nick Cannon was present at Playhouse in Hollywood yesterday and that he had a party there to celebrate his birthday. Not only was Mariah Carey not there, but Cannon was also spotted without his shirt on and eyewitnesses claim that Nick's huge “Mariah” tattoo had been covered by a more intricate design, a Jesus Christ.

In the world of celebrities, this basically means that Nick and Mariah are through. As you'll remember, earlier this year, when Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith got a divorce, she promptly removed his name from her arm, or at least covered it with makeup.
In Nick's case, he decided that since there was not going to be a reconciliation, he would cover up the tattoo with a huge Jesus on a cross, with angel wings coming off at the ends of it. The new tattoo is large enough to cover up the old one and thus remove Mariah Carey from his life.
The actor and TV presenter has been apprehensive and defensive when it came to talking about his divorce from Mariah Carey. However, in past weeks, signs that he's long split from his wife have become evident.
Cannon has been spotted with Playboy models on dinner dates out on town, attending social events alone, and he has even admitted that it's been months since he’s been sleeping out in hotels.

To add fuel to the flame, Amber Rose, Nick's recent protégé, was also said to be at the party. Amber is going through her own divorce at the moment, from rapper Wiz Khalifa, after she reportedly caught him in bed with two twins.
Some reports indicated that Cannon and Rose had more than a professional relationship and that they had been seeing each other in secret for months. Both Nick and Amber have denied any involvement, claiming that they were just friends and that they kept it strictly professional, as Nick Cannon's management firm recently signed Amber Rose, with the stated purpose of launching her TV career.
