New Christmas offer from Nichole de Carle at Selfridges: knickers with real diamond

Think diamonds in the unlikeliest places: luxury lingerie company Nichole de Carle has just launched a pair of knickers with a real, certified diamond. It costs £232 ($366,3 or € 266,4) and will become available next month.

Whereas Victoria's Secret has long created lingerie items that use diamonds and other precious stones for a plus of glamor, this is one that is actually affordable.

This, of course, isn't to say that the Nichole de Carle knickers come cheap. On the contrary, as the Daily Mail also notes.

The company “has designed a pair of ivory silk knickers that boast a 0.10ct brilliant cut diamond set in a solid silver charm,” the British publication informs.

“The luxury lingerie, to go on sale at Selfridges as part of the department store's annual white-themed Christmas gift room at the end of this month, will set the buyer back a staggering £232,” adds the same media outlet.

The British luxury brand is urging the ladies (and gentlemen, of course) to rush and buy the new knickers because, they say, the value of diamonds has gone up this past year (by 27 percent), so this makes them a very smart investment.

Plus, the panties are practical too, not just pretty to look at.

“Crucially, the ethically sourced Coster diamond is fully detachable so can be kept safe when required,” the Mail says.

In other words, you can turn your expensive lingerie into regular lingerie if you so desire, and keep the diamond for a different purpose – the Mail says it's truly a high quality one.

“Lingerie doesn’t get more luxurious then being offered with its own certified diamond,” Selfridges' Lingerie Buyer Manager Helen Attwood says for the same outlet.

“We are thrilled to offer our customers this exclusive style which is anticipated to be a big hit this Christmas,” Attwood adds.
