Nexus S, the high-end mobile phone that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung should bring to the market in the near future with Google's Android 2.3 operating system on board, has just made another appearance into the wild.

This time around, however, the smartphone also offers us the possibility to take a better look at the upcoming Android version that it would run under, codenamed Gingerbread.

Courtesy of a range of close-up photos with the device, the fact that Gingerbread would indeed be Android 2.3 has been confirmed, and the same applies to the curved design that Nexus S would arrive on shelves with.

Additionally, as if a series of photos with the Android smartphone was not enough, some more info on the specs list of the upcoming device was made available, courtesy of the guys over at XDA-Developers.

The Nexus S by Samsung, the successor of Nexus One by HTC, reportedly packs a ArmV7 CPU inside. Although not specified, there are chances that this CPU would be Dual Core.

At the same time, the upcoming device should include 512 or 328 MB of RAM, along with 1GB or 2GB of Internal Memory (it's still not clear enough which of these values were actually included on the phone's specs list).

What seems to be known for sure would be the fact that Nexus S would boast a 4-inch touchscreen display capable of providing a 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

The new mobile phone would also include a photo snapper capable of recording 720P HD Video clips.

Of course, there are great chances that the specs list of this device would actually differ when it hits the shelves in the coming weeks, but we can now make an idea on what to expect from it.

The guys over at XDA-Developers also promised the availability of some new photos with the handset pretty soon, so keep an eye on this space for more info on this.
