It appears that the Nexus S is indeed headed for the US market in the near future, and that it would actually sport this name when made available for purchase later this year on T-Mobile's airwaves.

This device has just made an appearance on Best Buy's website and, although no image with it was made available for the time being, nor other specific details on it, we can rest assured that more would be unveiled in the very near future, it seems.

Moreover, the same as Nexus One, the new device should be made available for purchase with support for T-Mobile's airwaves.

The handset was previously rumored to come to the market as Nexus Two, while being manufactured by the South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics.

While the handset vendor denied the existence of such as device, some lucky people reported that they already managed to play with the device, and that it would arrive on shelves pretty soon.

Moreover, previous rumors suggested that the Nexus Two would be included in the same line of Samsung smartphones as the Galaxy S.

Confirmation on the matter still has to emerge, but the fact that this handset made an appearance on Best Buy as Nexus One suggests that previous rumors might pan out in the end.

According to Best Buy's website, the Nexus S should be released this holiday season, as can be seen in the screenshot the guys over at Phandroid managed to came up with.

There is also a pre-order page for the device available at Best Buy, though it does not work. We should also note that the website does not list anymore the said Nexus S device.

According to some of the previous rumors on this smartphone, we should see it brought to shelves as the first Android-based device to run under Google's new Gingerbread OS version, while sporting no specific UI from Samsung.

Of course, nothing was confirmed officially on the device for the time being, but most of the latest rumors on it converge towards the same point, and they might pan out in the end.
