Nexus S by Samsung, the latest high-end device running under Google's Android operating system that the South Korean mobile phone maker announced officially last week, should arrive in users' hands in the United States starting with December 16th via Best Buy. The retailer already announced officially that it would have the Nexus S available via all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores around the country, as well as via its website.

However, what wasn't unveiled officially was the number of units that each store would receive on launch day, though some info on the matter did emerge, courtesy of Android and Me.

According to the news site, which cites an anonymous source, Best Buy would make different quantities of Nexus S available for purchase via its stores, based on the size of the location.

Nothing has been confirmed officially for the time being, but it seems that there will be enough units to meet first day demand, and even more.

Here's how the inventory would look like, according to Android and Me:

- Big box Best Buy locations that sell T-Mobile contracts in store will have on average 35 units Thursday - Big box Best Buy locations that do not, will have on average 4 units Thursday - Best Buy Mobile locations that sell T-Mobile will have on average 72 units Thursday - Best Buy Mobile locations that do not, will have on average 4 units Thursday - There will be plenty of transferring product around from Best Buy to Best Buy to even out counts as needed, but these are the numbers shipping to stores - There will be plenty of units for orders placed online and shipped to the customer Another source confirmed that one of the large Best Buy store in the country would be receiving a number of around 75 units, which is in line with the above.

T-Mobile services are sold in a number of 210 Best Buy stores, but a list of these locations is not available as of yet.

The Nexus S would start emerging on shelves in the US on Thursday, so more details on this should become available very soon. Stay tuned for more.
