Nexus S 4G, Sprint's own flavor of the second Google phone out there, is now available for purchase for only $99.99 with the signing of a contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

The smartphone was launched a few months ago with a price tag of $199.99 attached to it, but it is now available for only half of that from Sprint themselves.

The Nexus S 4G from Google is available at the wireless carrier in Black, and features an off-contract price tag of $549.99.

Unlike the original Nexus S smartphone, Sprint's flavor of the device comes both with support for the wireless carrier's CDMA network, as well as with access to its 4G services.

“The Nexus S 4G from Google offers a Google experience at 4G speeds. It runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) the latest version of Android for smartphones,” Sprint explains.

The mobile phone was launched on shelves with a fast 1Ghz application processor inside, and with 16GB of built-in memory (unfortunately, its internal memory cannot be expanded).

This is one of the fastest handsets on the market at the moment, which also sports a large touchscreen display, and a unique curved designed to fit user's face.

“A thin-profile contour display gives this phone a unique form factor that fits easily in the palm of your hand and along the side of your face,” the wireless carrier explains.

“Its brighter, high-contrast screen means colors are incredibly vibrant, text is crisp at any size, and luminance is up to 1.5 x higher than conventional LCD displays. Viewing outdoors? Your videos, pictures and games look their best and the sun won't wash them out.”

Nexus S 4G also comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, and a built-in GPS receiver.

Not to mention that it runs under the latest flavor of Android, namely 2.3 Gingerbread, and can provide access to various Google Mobile Services, as well as for applications and games in the Android Market.

“The Nexus S 4G comes preloaded with 4 of the most popular Google apps and is enabled with new and popular features like true multi-tasking, Wi-Fi hotspot, internet calling and full HTML Web browsing,” Sprint also notes.

The Nexus S 4G can be seen on Sprint's website here.
