We're getting closer and closer to seeing a new Google phone being released on the market, namely the long rumored Nexus Prime, and the device is getting the final set of approvals before making an appearance on shelves.

The upcoming mobile phone was said to be on its way to the market with model number Samsung GT-I9250 attached to it, and this is the device that has just passed through Bluetooth certification.

Previously, the mobile phone has already received the necessary certification from the WiFi Alliance, and even got a support page online.

For the time being, both Samsung and Google are keeping their lips sealed when it comes to this device, but rumor has it that it will arrive on the market as the third Nexus smartphone.

Moreover, it is expected to run under Google's next Android flavor, namely Ice Cream Sandwich, and to be released as soon as next month.

Google is expected to release the next flavor of Android in about a month, with features that will fit both the small screen of smartphones, as well as the larger screens of tablet PCs.

Dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, the new operating system flavor is expected to bring unity to the ecosystem, determining application developers to come up with new software that will fit all screen sizes.

When it comes to smartphones, Google is expected to debut the OS on a new, unique handset, supposedly called Nexus Prime.

The fact that this device has received the Bluetooth certification is another confirmation that it is nearing availability, even if nothing was officially announced on it for the time being.

Whether it will sport this name when made available, or another, it remains to be seen. What is certain at the moment is that the new mobile phone should arrive on shelves soon, and that it is manufactured by Samsung.
