Nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being, but rumor has it that the Nexus Prime and the new Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system flavor might be on their way to be formally introduced on October 19th.

Both the new platform iteration and the new hardware accompanying it should be unveiled during an event set for that day in Hong Kong, a recent article on Engadget suggests.

Apparently, Google and Samsung have set the launch to coincide with the AsiaD: All Things Digital event that will be held in Hong Kong next week.

The new Google phone was initially expected to make a formal appearance into the wild on October 11th, but the launch event was delayed, and no new date for it was unveiled. However, Samsung did say that the release will happen soon, and next week might bring more info on this.
