Norwegian software company Opera already announced plans to deliver to the market a version of its Opera Mobile browser that will sport support for more mobile operating systems at large, including Google's Android platform, and now the application has been caught on video on Nexus One by HTC. For the time being, the mobile web browser is not available for end users, but only for OEMs, yet it shouldn't be too long before it arrives on handsets on the market.

Opera's mobile solution is one of the most popular around the world, and should prove a nice option for Android phone users, though it will have a powerful competitor in the area, in the form of the standard webkit browser the Android includes. Moreover, other browsers are also starting to emerge for the Android platform, including Mozilla's Firefox mobile, which was already said to arrive on Google's operating system before the end of the ongoing year.

For the time being, Opera fans around the world who own a handset running under Android can enjoy the company's lightweight mobile browser, Opera Mini, which is available for download from the Android market. As for Opera Mobile, the software company says that it is working with mobile phone makers around the world so as to have the application included in devices during the ongoing year, so there are great chances that Android handsets will pack it in 2010.

The video embedded below, showing Opera Mobile demonstrated on Nexus One by HTC, comes from mobilecrunch, which had the chance to talk with Opera Software product analyst Phillip Grønvold at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week. According to them, Opera indeed hopes to deliver the solution on mobile phones before this year's end so will keep out fingers crossed for that to happen. Have a look at the video demonstration of the web browser, and don't forget to keep an eye on this space for further updates on the matter.
