ASUS has recently unveiled a host of new innovative products as CES 2014, with the Transformer Book Duet 4-in-1 dual OS hybrid managing to capture the spotlight.

Now new information coming from sources from the upstream supply chain reported by DigiTimes claims ASUS expects to ship 20 million notebook units in 2014, which constitutes an increase from the previous 18.5 million in 2013.

However, tablet shipments are expected to remain at 12 million, exactly the same as last year. The sources go on to specify (yet again) that ASUS will be taking on the manufacturing processes for the upcoming Nexus 8 tablet, which might come in May, at the earliest

ASUS also plans to announce new 7- and 8-inchers as soon as March. At the moment, 7-inchers and the 8-inch MeMO Pad are the products driving growth in the tablet sector, due to their wallet-friendly prices.
