The Nexus 6 has been one of the highlights of 2014 that has attracted a lot of attention around it. It is Google’s latest smartphone that offers a stock Android experience and a slew of capable specifications.

The smartphone is so popular that since its launch it kept going out of stock, repeatedly. But as anything in this world, the smartphone is not without its faults.

It appears that more and more owners of the Nexus 6 smartphone are complaining that they are seeing problems with the back cover which keeps popping off annoyingly often.

The Nexus 6 is not so sturdy

Some users have tried to resolve the problem by pushing back the cover, but that doesn’t seem to do any good because it instantly oops back off again.

Disgruntled owners of the Nexus 6 have taken to Google+ and Reddit to talk about the frustration of living with a smartphone whose back plate perpetually snaps off.

So what exactly is causing these issues, you might be wondering. Well, it appears that the glue on the back of the handset is no longer capable of keeping things in place.

That’s the soft scenario. Some others users are noticing their battery is expanding which in turn also causes the cover to expand or pop out.

What’s even odder is that some users who have been affected by these problems have requested replacement units and Google obliged and sent in new ones. However, it appears the replacements also suffer from the same ailments.

It’s pretty obvious at this point that the problem is not limited to a single batch and affects units across multiple clusters.

For the time being Google hasn’t reached out to comment on the issue, but it probably will at some point if reports continue to pile up.

Naturally, not all users are experiencing these issues, but the occurrence seems frequent enough. Are you having any troubles?
