Good news for Android fans in India who do not want to wait until Google brings the Nexus 5 to their country, as major retailer Flipkart now lists the phone as “Available.”

However, as AndroidOS points out, customers who purchase the Nexus 5 via Flipkart will have their device shipped in about 13-14 business days.

Taking into consideration the fact that Google is expected to introduce the Nexus 5 in India on November 12, customers who purchase the phone from Flipkart will receive it long after the handset arrives on Google Play Store.

However, there’s also the possibility that Google might not make the Nexus 5 available on launch day or stock may be low, thus lots of customers will have to look elsewhere if they really want this handset.

According to the latest hearsay, Google is likely to officially launch the Nexus 5 in India on November 12, but actual sale will start in late November, so getting the phone from Flipkart is as good.

There’s also the issue of Flipkart’s pricing for Nexus 5. Although Google is selling the 16GB model for only $350 (€260), the Indian retailer is asking Rs 30,999 for the same version, which is about $500 or €370.

Google Nexus 5 will ship with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box and a powerful 2.3 quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

The smartphone has been confirmed to pack 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, as well as 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The bad news is that the Nexus 5, just like its predecessor, does not come with microSD card slot. For more in-depth info on the smartphone, check out our database for Nexus 5 full specs sheet.
