Shortly after LG-D821, also known as Nexus 5, was spotted at Bluetooth SIG, the smartphone showed up at GCF (Global Certification Forum).

As GSMInsider points out, the filings confirm the LG Nexus 5 will offer support for LTE Category 4, which means users will be able to take advantage of data download speeds of up to 150Mbps.

The previous LTE cat 3 technology only allows for 100Mbps download speeds, so the new improvement offers quite an enhancement.

Nexus 5 will also support the following networks: LTE 2600(B7) / 2100(B1) /1800(B3) / 850(B5) /800(B20) MHz, W-CDMA 2100(I) / 1900(II) / 1700(IV) /900(VIII) / 850(V) MHz, and GSM 1900 / 1800 / 900 / 850MHz.

Although it has yet to be confirmed by Google, Nexus 5 is expected to be officially unveiled on October 15, along with Android 4.4 KitKat.
