South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is reportedly getting ready for the launch of three new smartphones in October and November, including the long-awaited Nexus 5.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, but sources from the company are cited as saying that all three devices will go official soon.

Nexus 5, a smartphone built in collaboration with Google, has been long rumored to arrive on the market before the end of this month, and it appears that this will indeed happen.

Furthermore, the aforementioned source, cited by ETNews, claims that LG will launch a handset featuring curved display next month, alongside a Firefox OS-based phone.

“Both flexible display phone and Firefox OS phone are being developed according to their release schedules,” an LG insider reportedly said.

The curved smartphone should be none other than LG G Flex, which was rumored a few times before, and which comes as a response to Samsung’s Galaxy Round.

LG’s device is also expected to become available for purchase in South Korea via all three major wireless carriers there. Furthermore, the company might also target the international market with it.

Curved, flexible displays are expected to be widely used on smartphones moving forth, and LG will be one of the first companies in the world to enter this next-generation market, which should help it boost sales.

As for the aforementioned Firefox OS smartphone, little is known on it at the moment, though info on its availability around the world appears to have already leaked online.

LG is expected to launch the device in Central and South American countries in collaboration with Telefonica, one of the first carriers to have supported Mozilla’s Firefox OS.

Chances are that LG will make all three smartphones official in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on this space to learn additional info on them.
