It will become available through LG stores, other retailers

Today, Google and LG have officially announced the availability of the Nexus 4 smartphone in India, after the device popped up on the websites of online retailers in the country.

The latest Google phone out there is set to become available for purchase at Rs 25,999 ($475 / €368) through selected LG exclusive brand shops, as well as via multi brand outlets and specialty stores (modern trade) across India.

Nexus 4 arrives on the market with the latest flavor of Google’s Android operating system loaded on top, as well as with top-of-the-line hardware specifications.

The mobile phone features a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a WXGA (1280 x 768) pixel resolution (320ppi), protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Furthermore, the device sports a 1.5GHz quad-core processor inside, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The LG Nexus 4 was launched in India with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording full HD videos while on the go, as well as with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls.

At the same time, it sports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G connectivity capabilities, USB port, GPS receiver, NFC connectivity, and the usual set of sensors.

LG also packed the smartphone with a 2100mAh Li-Polymer battery capable of delivering up to 11.9 hours of talk time, or up to 564.5 hours of standby time.
