Mobile phone users in India might soon be able to purchase a new Android-based device in the country, as Flipkart has just added the Nexus 4 Google phone to its offering.

The device can be seen on this page on the online retailer’s website, currently listed as available for pre-orders, though it was listed as out of stock only a few hours ago.

The smartphone features a price tag of Rs. 25990 ($475 / 368 Euro) contract free, and is listed with 16GB of internal memory, as AndroidOS notes in a recent post.

One thing that is certain at the moment is that the Nexus 4 will soon be released in the country, although it remains to be seen when exactly that will happen, it seems.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Nexus 4 smartphone was made official last year with a 4.7-inch WXGA (1280 x 768) True HD IPS Plus Display on the front, as well as with a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor inside, and Adreno 320 GPU.

Furthermore, the new device arrives on shelves with 16 GB internal memory, as well as with wireless charging (Qi-compatible) capabilities.

Furthermore, it arrives on shelves with an 8-megapixel photo snapper capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, as well as with a 1.3MP camera on the front for making video calls.

Running under Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the Nexus 4 also features a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery inside, along with the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors.

The latest Google device out there offers support for a wide range of services and applications, including Gmail, YouTube, Google+, Google Wallet, SmartShare, Google Talk, Voice Search, Games, iTunes, Magazines, Movies and TV, and more.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before specific info on the handset’s arrival in India emerges, so stay tuned for more on the matter.
