Conflicting rumors have users confused concerning the next-gen Nexus 10

Earlier today, we have reported that some Android watchers are expecting Google to pull the veil off its next-gen Nexus 10 tablet on Cyber Monday.

The tablet has been out of stock in the Google Play Store since October and folks over on Reddit have noticed that the Nexus 10 description in the store has been essentially wiped out.

But does this mean Google is gearing up to release the new Nexus 10 tablet or is the search giant thinking of discontinuing the tablet altogether?

Some believe that Google is ready to put the 10-incher story behind and concentrate its efforts into building an 8-inch slate instead.

However, information from the ever-faithful @evleaks pointed out in October that a new Nexus 10 slate did exist in the ASUS inventory. So what will search behemoth end up doing?

Now a Google official confirmed to TechnoBlimp that the company does not “plan to restock the device (in the Play store) once it sells out.”

We'll probably have to wait through the day to see whether the Nexus 10 shows its face or not, because at this point things could go either way.
